Jharkhand Adivasi Mahila Vikas Samuh implements comprehensive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programmes to address critical challenges related to safe drinking water, sanitation access, and hygiene practices in Adivasi, rural, and remote areas of Jharkhand. The programme recognizes that inadequate water and sanitation facilities significantly impact public health, women’s dignity, children’s education, and overall community well-being. Women and girls often bear the burden of collecting water from distant sources, while poor sanitation exposes families to water-borne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid. Through its WASH interventions, the organization aims to ensure safe water access, improved sanitation infrastructure, behavior change, and long-term sustainability.
